We are seeking a motivated and professional individual to join our team as an Enforcement Agent. The ideal candidate will be customer focused, resilient, and dedicated to upholding high standards in enforcement and collection activities.

The post is full-time (37 hours) per week within the Enforcement Team. You will be based in the city centre (Howden House) and work on a hybrid model, with office attendance required for training, meetings, and operational needs.

For this role, you will need to demonstrate experience and skills in enforcement and debt recovery, including:

  • Proven experience in enforcement, debt collection, or a similar field
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively with individuals from all backgrounds, including vulnerable clients, whilst enforcing payment and compliance.
  • Excellent I.T. skills to use the Council’s enforcement and finance systems for case management and reporting.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft 365 packages.
  • A team player who is adaptable, reliable, and able to support colleagues with operational priorities.

This varied and challenging role requires a keen commitment to teamwork, exceptional communication and customer care skills and the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
