Key responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the Council’s digital transformation and major programme delivery, ensuring change is well governed, outcome-focused and aligned to strategic priorities where you will.
- Lead the digital transformation programme and major projects across the council
- Drive service redesign, efficiency and benefits realization and measurable improvement
- Embed governance, assurance and performance management and performance reporting
- Build strong partnerships across services and externally
- Ensure digital transformation improves services for residents, businesses and staff
What we’re looking for
A collaborative and strategic digital and delivery-focused leader with the experience and credibility to lead complex digital transformation at scale. You will bring:
- Senior leadership experience in digital, ICT, transformation or programme delivery within a large, complex organisation.
- A strong track record of delivering major programmes that improve services, efficiency and outcomes.
- Excellent governance, assurance, risk management, performance and benefits realisation experience.
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead inclusive, resident-focused digital change.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
