Adult Safeguarding Team - Community Assessment Officer (Full-Time)

About Us

The Adult Social Care Front Door Safeguarding Team is the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns raised about adults at risk across Salford. We work in a fast-paced, multi-agency environment alongside health partners, the police, care providers and community organisations to ensure concerns are responded to promptly and proportionately. Our team plays a vital role in identifying risk, promoting wellbeing and ensuring people are connected to the right support at the right time. We are committed to delivering person-centred, strengths-based practice and making safeguarding personal.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Front Door Safeguarding Team as a Community Assessment Officer. You will be responsible for screening safeguarding concerns, gathering information from a range of sources, assessing risk and determining the most appropriate pathway for adults who may be at risk of abuse or neglect. No two days are the same, and you will work closely with social workers, health professionals and partner agencies to support timely decision-making and positive outcomes. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, partnership working and making a real difference.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual with excellent communication, assessment and organisational skills. You will be able to gather and analyse information, manage competing demands and make proportionate decisions in a busy environment. You will be committed to delivering person-centred practice and promoting the wellbeing, rights and independence of adults. Experience of working within health, social care or safeguarding is desirable, alongside an understanding of risk, professional curiosity and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, partners and families.
