Employer Engagement Coordinator

Salford City Council

Salford Civic Centre, Swinton, m27 5bn£21

About us

At Salford City Council, we're ambitious for our young people. Through our Child Friendly City commitment and skills and employment priorities, we're working with employers across the city to open doors, break down barriers and create pathways into future careers. Whether it's work experience, supported internships, apprenticeships or paid work opportunities, we're bringing together employers, education providers and communities to help young people build confidence, gain experience and realise their potential.

About the Role

This is a role with real influence and visible impact. As Employer Engagement Coordinator, you'll be the driving force behind developing opportunities for young people across Salford, connecting employers with schools, colleges, services and future talent. You'll build strong partnerships, grow our employer network and help shape the city's approach to work experience, social value and career pathways through Step into Salford. If you enjoy opening doors, bringing people together and seeing the difference your work makes, this is an opportunity to help change futures while supporting employers to invest in local talent.

About you

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious about people, opportunities and partnerships. You'll enjoy building relationships, spotting possibilities and turning conversations into meaningful outcomes. Whether your background is employer engagement, recruitment, education, careers or youth services, you'll be confident working with a wide range of partners and passionate about helping young people access opportunities they may not otherwise have. Most importantly, you'll be someone who gets things moving, brings others with you and is motivated by making a lasting difference.
