Salford City Council recognises the role that Shared Lives can play in meeting the needs of vulnerable adults who live in the city in a personalised, flexible & creative way. Provider Services have recently returned in house and as part of our service development we are seeking to enhance our Shared Lives offer, the focus on service growth will help provide greater access to services and relieve pressures on more formal care and support
About you
You will be an innovative thinker who has a passion for improving public services. Your attention to detail and ability to analyse data will ensure a high level of accuracy in service design and implementation. A commitment to coproduction will ensure that the people of Salford can play an active part in the development of services. This post is fixed term and you will have effective programme management skills to keep service transformation on track.
About the role
Working in close partnership with the Shared Lives Registered Manager as the Services Development Worker you will play a key role in the successful development and delivery of an enhanced Shared Lives offer. Approaching the role with a positive can-do solution focused attitude you would be expected to work with our media and communications team, look to shape a communication plan outlining the benefits of the Shared Lives service for people who are looking to provide caring roles in Salford and to professionals seeking alternative forms of support outside of traditional models of care.
You will use a service design approach to effect change, building systems and processes around the experiences of people and practitioners. In partnership with adult social care service leads and operational practitioners, you will test and pilot new approaches to improve the quality of life to those accessing the service.
Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50.
