We are a 24 bed Secure Care Centre which is made up of 4 residential units. We care for sentenced and remanded males under the age of 18 years and are part of the national Secure Children’s Home network.
The Centre has a proven track record of offering a very high standard of emotional, educational and physical care. This supports young people to succeed in their personal and academic development and resettlement back into the community. The centre has achieved Good & Outstanding, Ofsted judgements.
Who we are seeking
We are looking for a selfmotivated, reliable, multiskilled and proactive Business Support and Exams Officer to join our Administration team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering daily administrative support to the centre, taking pride in their work and demonstrating strong attention to detail.
About the role
- The role is an integral part of the Business Support service at Barton Moss Secure Care Centre.
- Ensuring an effective and efficient administration support to internal and external customers
- Assist and support the development of standardised systems, processes and practices in response to changes
- To work alongside other members of the Business Support Team to actively support integrated ways of working.
- To record and maintain client information & data collections systems and validate information before it is entered onto systems
- To produce relevant data analysis as required for internal use and to meet key performance indicators
- Provide support for the booking of meetings and visits & where required produce high quality minutes.
- Provide support to produce a range of documents and resources to an excellent standard
- Provide support to colleagues on sourcing resources and processing orders
Area of specialism within the Business Support Team :
- To be the designated Business Support Officer for the Education Department
- To be the designated Exams Officer for the education department, which includes
- responsibility for exam registration
- access requirements
- coursework submission
- exam paper receipt and storage
- exam room set up
- exam invigilation organisation
- to be present at and support the ad hoc JCQ examination check
- submission of exam papers.
- To be present as required for examination results in August

The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month.
