About us

We are a busy accounts receivable team delivering an efficient and effective accounts receivable service to the city council and external customers. We work closely as a team to invoice and collect most of the non-tax debt due to the council from individuals and businesses. This is a transactional finance role, our focus is on recovering money due to the council and supporting customers who are struggling to pay.

About you

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

Have good written and verbal communication skills

Have a strong team work ethic, with the willingness to get stuck in

Be confident in dealing with people over the phone, on video calls and in person

Strong customer service skills

Excellent administration and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload

Excellent attention to detail

Reliable and flexible

Able to use (and learn) how to use digital technology to meet the key outcomes of the role, including Finance software and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

An understanding of the role of a transactional finance team within a large organisation

We will provide questions in advance of the face to face interview and the interview will include a short task.
