This is an exciting opportunity to join Runnymede Borough Council's Environmental Health team and help protect and improve the environment and quality of life of our residents.
Environmental Health is one of the most varied careers in local government, and this role sits at the heart of it. One day you could be investigating noise complaints, environmental crime or public health issues. The next, you might be making arrangements for a Public Health Funeral or working with partner agencies to resolve community concerns.
You'll work on issues that matter to local people, helping to resolve neighbour disputes, improve living conditions, tackle waste offences, and ensure legislation is applied fairly and proportionately. Every case is different, requiring sound judgement, good communication skills and a practical approach to problem solving.
Alongside frontline regulatory work, you will play an important role in maintaining and developing the team's case management systems and data. Acting as a key user for our Civica database, you will help ensure information is accurate, accessible and used effectively, producing reports and performance information that support decision-making, service improvement and statutory reporting.
