About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Runnymede Borough Council as we continue our positive work in assisting users and improving our integrated Housing IT system.

As a Housing Systems and Revenue Officer, you will be part of a small team responsible for administering Housing IT systems and supporting income generation and collection within the Housing Service.

The key responsibilities of the Housing Systems and Revenue Officer are:

  • Review existing processes, identifying opportunities for system enhancements and improved use of functionality to achieve more effective ways of working.
  • Work as part of a project team to design, develop and implement new system functionality as required.
  • Provide an advanced helpdesk assistance service to users of the Housing IT systems.
  • Produce user guidance notes and documented procedures for system modules and functionality.
  • Deliver training workshops for new and existing users across all areas of the integrated Housing IT system.
  • Produce management information reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and reply to ad hoc reporting requests from Housing service areas.

Salary

Please note that Runnymede Borough Council is currently undertaking a pay and grading review, which is expected to be implemented during the summer. The successful applicant will be appointed under the Council’s current grading and salary structure and, following implementation of the new framework, will be assimilated into the revised pay structure in line with all existing employees.
 
This grading in the new pay structure for this role will be RBC6 with a salary range of £42,957 to £46,956.

About You

We are looking for a capable and motivated individual to join our team who is confident in using and supporting IT systems, has strong problem-solving skills, and is committed to delivering an excellent Housing IT service.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Housing colleagues to provide high-quality customer service to residents with a range of skills and experience including: 

  • Experience of using and enhancing the configuration of IT systems to improve functionality and service delivery.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and time-management skills, with the ability to manage workloads independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • A strong understanding of the role and functions of a local authority housing service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Experience of developing and delivering training programmes and user guidance on IT system processes and functionality.
  • The ability to identify opportunities for system improvements and translate business requirements into practical solutions.
  • Experience of producing management information, performance reports and data analysis to support decision-making.
