We are looking for an Estate Warden to join our Estate Services Team
This is an exciting opportunity to join Runnymede Borough Council as we continue our positive work within the Estate Services Team.
As an Estate Services Warden, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards across our housing estates and ensuring residents live in clean, safe, and well-maintained environments.
The Estate Warden is responsible for:
- Maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming communal areas, including grounds, pathways, bin stores, and surrounding estate environments.
- Delivering excellent customer service by engaging positively with residents and responding to estate-related enquiries and concerns.
- Reporting and monitoring repairs, defects, and maintenance issues, ensuring appropriate action is taken to resolve them.
- Inspecting and managing waste and recycling areas to ensure they are used correctly, kept tidy, and maintained to a high standard.
- Reporting incidents of anti-social behaviour, vandalism, graffiti, and fly-tipping.
- Liaising with contractors, housing teams, and external agencies to maintain and improve estate standards.
- Maintaining accurate records of inspections, incidents, and actions taken.
- Responding appropriately to urgent estate issues in accordance with council procedures.

Salary
Please note that Runnymede Borough Council is currently undertaking a pay and grading review, which is expected to be implemented during the summer. The successful applicant will be appointed under the Council’s current grading and salary structure and, following implementation of the new framework, will be assimilated into the revised pay structure in line with all existing employees.
This grading in the new pay structure for this role will be RBC 2 with a salary range of £27,528 - £30,089
