Neighbourhood Lead (Part-Time) - Grade 10

Salary: Grade 10
Hours: 18.5 per week to be worked on Wednesdays Thursdays and Fridays
Location: Heywood
Contract: Permanent

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and community-focused professional to join our team as a Neighbourhood Lead.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering our place-based approach, working alongside children, young people and families, partners, and local services to build thriving neighbourhoods where people feel connected, supported, and empowered.

As a Neighbourhood Lead, you will be at the heart of neighbourhood working, bringing together communities, public services, voluntary organisations, and key stakeholders to identify local priorities, strengthen community capacity, and improve outcomes for our children, young people and families.

About the Role

Reporting to the Strategic Lead for Early Help and Relational practice you will lead and coordinate activity within the Heywood neighbourhood area, ensuring that local intelligence, resident voice, and partnership working drive service development and continue to support the children, young people and families within Heywood.

You will:

• Lead neighbourhood-based initiatives that support local priorities and improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.
• Develop and maintain effective partnerships with colleagues, elected members, schools, health services, housing providers, community groups, and voluntary organisations etc.
• Support the delivery of prevention and early intervention approaches across neighbourhoods.
• Support the delivery of Early Years and Best start in Life approaches across neighbourhoods.
• Facilitate and coordinate multi-agency meetings, networks, and attend local forums.
• Work alongside children, young people and families to identify strengths, opportunities, and solutions within their communities.
• Analyse local data, insight, and community intelligence to inform planning and decision-making.
• Support community engagement and co-production, ensuring children, young people and families have a genuine voice in shaping local services.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has substantial experience of working within community development, health, education, Early Years, Early help, or a related service environment.
• Understands neighbourhood working, community engagement, and place-based approaches.
• Has experience of developing and sustaining effective multi-agency partnerships.
• Can engage confidently with children, young people and Families, community groups, elected members, and senior stakeholders.
• Has excellent communication, organisational, and facilitation skills.
• Is able to work strategically while remaining responsive to local community needs.
• Can manage competing priorities and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Is passionate about supporting children, young people, families and communities to thrive.
