The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Rochdale Council, within the Public Health & Communities Directorate. We are looking to appoint a Live Well Programme Manager as we work together to create conditions for people to thrive, not just survive, removing barriers to opportunity and tackling health, social and economic inequalities.

Rochdale Borough has a strong history of co-operation, and we seek a dynamic and highly motivated candidate who will work well with a range of partners on our Live Well transformational programmes.

Rochdale is a forward-thinking borough and Public Health & Communities are at the forefront, tackling key issues like poverty and health inequalities. You'll collaborate with partner organisations and local communities on ground-breaking initiatives to create healthier neighbourhoods for all.

The role will programme manage the Live Well work plan, which includes varies strands such as Live Well Eco-System, Enhanced Live Well and financial flows etc. There will also be opportunity to help shape these programmes and contribute to development of this exciting shift to a new of working.

You will be joining a friendly team with a great mix of skills and experience and leaders who encourage and support development. Recruitment will be on Rochdale Borough Council terms and conditions of employment.

About You

We are looking for people who have a natural curiosity and ability to communicate across different groups to share knowledge, experience and resources effectively. You will be able to identify and bridge gaps between groups for better understanding and cooperation to enable a shift towards a community led, system enabled culture.

The post holder will be an enthusiastic individual with experience of leading complex programmes of work that span across a system and a collaborative approach that enables you to build robust working relationships internally and with partner organisations. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a track record of working with partners to improve outcomes.

You will use your understanding of financial management to support the reimagining of financial flows with a view to shifting spend towards prevention. You will have a passion for systems change to ensure that Live Well is an embedded way of working in Rochdale. You’ll be self-motivated and innovative whilst also working well within a team. You will be able to write clearly and produce reports and engaging presentations for a variety of audiences.
