About the role

This position is for an experienced Social Worker to work within the Supported Lodgings Scheme, within the Fostering Service. The Supported lodgings scheme is made up of a Social Worker, Team Manager and Registered Service Manager.

Supported Lodgings offers young people the opportunity to live within a home with Supported Lodgings hosts offering them guidance and support, in readiness for independence.

Within the role you will be assessing potential Supported Lodgings hosts, providing supervision and completing annual reviews.

You will also help facilitate support groups for the young people and the 6 weekly support group for the Supported Lodgings hosts. Alongside this, you will be supporting hosts to welcome young people into their home, and build positive and trusting relationships with both the hosts and young people

This is a varied and interesting role within a developing team. There is flexibility in working patterns and some evening work will be required as part of the role.

About you

The children, young people and families we work with come from a variety of backgrounds and in order to deliver the best possible care and support, it is vital that we have a workforce that is culturally competent, representative and understands their unique experiences and perspectives. You will have experience of working with young people, preferably aged 16+ and be confident in completing assessments.
