The Highways, Property & Business Support Team within Economy and Place Directorate are seeking to recruit to this full time position.
The successful candidate will assist and support this very busy and diverse team to deliver all administrative, financial and corporate tasks efficiently and effectively across all service areas, to include providing cover as required for the Property Services Helpdesk (cover required from 8.30am to 16.30pm Monday to Friday).
The main duties include dealing with phone calls and emails for respective service areas, liaising with other Council Services, Schools, Suppliers and Contractor’s.
Logging, updating and processing information in the in-service and corporate databases, to include financial tasks such as raising purchase orders, processing and raising invoices and general administrative duties as required.
Applications are welcomed from candidates with the necessary skills and experience required to fulfil the duties of the post, being enthusiastic, proactive and intuitive are advantageous.
Key attributes required for the post are excellent customer service skills, good communication and organisational skills, effective IT abilities and an awareness of the Council financial processes would be beneficial.
