Business Support Officer - Events Team

This is a temporary contract for approximately 12 months due to an interim restructure.
External candidates applying for this role must be a Rochdale Resident who lives within the municipal boundaries of the Borough of Rochdale (i.e where the household pays council tax to Rochdale Borough Council).
In March 2024, Rochdale Town Hall opened its doors to the public, after being closed for 4 years due to major restoration works.
Since then, over 78,000 people from all over the world have visited this beautiful Victorian, gothic building.
Housing nationally significant historical rooms, a new restaurant, new learning and community spaces and a fully pedestrianised Town Hall Square, Rochdale Town Hall has been truly transformed.
Rochdale Town Hall hosts a variety of events including weddings, dinners, school proms, civic ceremonies and charity balls.
The business support officer will provide a wide range of tasks supporting all areas including events, the Martlet restaurant and the heritage and community department.
We are looking to appoint a person with strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities, high professionalism and able to work in a fast paced environment.
Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, calm under pressure, good with people (clients and staff) and able to work independently and collaboratively.
