Commercial and Procurement Business Partner x2
London Borough of Redbridge
Commercial and Procurement Business Partner x2
- Job description
Location: Lynton House
Permanent – Full time
Join at the point of transformation and help shape what excellent commercial business partnering looks like.
Redbridge is in the midst of an ambitious commercial and procurement transformation. We are moving beyond a traditional, transactional model to create a modern, strategic and influential function that shapes decisions earlier, connects commercial insight to organisational priorities and makes every pound work harder for residents.
We are recruiting two Commercial and Procurement Business Partners to become central to that change. These are new and influential roles with scope to rethink established ways of working and help services turn ambitious ideas into commercially robust, affordable and deliverable plans.
You will work across the commercial and procurement lifecycle, connecting priorities, data, market intelligence, sourcing, supplier relationships and contract management. You will help build the tools, relationships and commercial culture that define our new operating model.
What you will do
- Build trusted relationships with commissioners, budget holders and senior service leaders.
- Shape requirements, commercial options, routes to market and governance before activity begins.
- Use market, spend, contract and pipeline insight to reveal risk, savings and opportunity.
- Support complex and high-priority sourcing, procurement and contract management activity.
- Embed social value, sustainability and responsible procurement in decision-making.
- Create practical tools and learning that build confidence and commercial capability.
What you will bring
You will be commercially curious, collaborative and motivated to make a visible difference. You will bring practical procurement, commercial, commissioning support or contract management experience and sound public sector knowledge. You will use evidence confidently, explain complexity clearly and offer constructive challenge while keeping delivery moving. Above all, you will be energised by the chance to help create something new.
