Job description

Full time, permanent.

Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.

We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.

We are seeking a Technical Support Administrator to support a busy team delivering vital support to users of Direct payment.

We deal with vulnerable users who need ongoing support with managing and understanding their Direct payments (care payments)

Role will include reconciling accounts which is paramount in understanding how council funds are utilised effectively and within given budgets.

Working on own initiative and as part of a team is key to the role. Strong IT and communication skills (Excel, word and spreadsheets) are essential, along with a demonstrable ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and partners.

The role offers hybrid working, although a regular office presence will be needed to work with the team effectively. During the initial period in post, a greater on-site presence will be required to help establish relationships and learn the role.
