Newham’s SEND Case Officers will oversee a range of case work and prioritise person centred planning with children, young people and their families to ensure that the needs and ambitions of each child is fully reflected in their plans.

Our case work team is part of a broader multi-agency SEND service that comprises of travel, education psychology, tribunals and special educational support services, which includes a speech and language team. The service shares a commitment to deliver positive and successful outcomes for children with SEND with colleagues across Children’s Services in areas such as Health and Social Care.

We value work life/balance and understand that happy, rested colleagues will always produce the highest standards of work. Newham SEND offers genuinely flexible working around core hours, and we trust our colleagues to work remotely for a minimum of three days per week.
