This is an exciting opportunity to join the SEN Passenger Transport Team as an Operations Manager. The department is currently going through change and improvement in various areas consisting of Digitalisation and Continuous Improved Service delivery for all SEN Transport users. The role will require the skill set and experience to lead staff, work with managers and senior managers to ensure the department becomes and maintains an efficient, productive and cost-effective, front-line service.
The successful candidate will be required to lead the service into the next phase of change and improvement. They will need to ensure the service not only meets our statutory requirements but exceeds expectation in service quality and required needs for our boroughs SEN children.
Previous managerial / leadership experience within the SEN Passenger Transport Operations is essential.
Newham operates an in-house SEN Passenger Transport Operation, consisting of 120 staff and provides transport of approximately 600 SEN children living within the borough as well as transport for vulnerable adults.
