Cabinet Advisor
£45,750 - £49,056 per annum

In this senior advisory role, you will provide strategic policy and political insight, working closely with elected Members, senior officers and external partners to ensure effective decision-making and delivery. You will help shape policy, coordinate Cabinet business, develop high-quality briefings, and ensure priorities are translated into tangible outcomes for residents.

Interviews will take place in person between 17th and 28th August.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic advice and support to Cabinet Members.
Build strong relationships across the Council and with external stakeholders.
Coordinate Cabinet business, reports, briefings and forward planning.
Influence policy development and delivery in line with the Mayor's priorities.
Identify and manage emerging issues, risks and opportunities.
Develop clear and compelling briefings, messaging and strategic communications.

About You:

Strong understanding of local government, governance and the political environment.
Experience advising senior leaders in a strategic or political setting.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, politically sensitive environment.
Highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused.
