About the Job

Newham Council is currently recruiting for Waste HGV Driver. The service area is seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated staff to safely deliver a range of services across the borough.

Are you looking for a demanding role to contribute to achieving a cleaner borough and assist the Council in its delivery to its National targets?

About You

The post will be physically demanding on a day to day basis and you will operate a range of vehicles, bin lift equipment.

Our services are in operation from 06.00 – 22.00 Monday to Saturday. We have opportunities to work across both the 06:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00 shift patterns.

To drive the full range of Council vehicles including HGVs and to have staff supervision responsibilities.” (taken from Level 3- Scale 6)

Full driving licence (Essential – Level 1) (C1 Licence Application Form/License. Essential – Level 2) (HGV 2 – Level 3) To possess a full driving licence appropriate to the level required to operate up to 7.5 tonne caged vehicles. Skip or Clinical Waste Drivers will need an ADR Certificate
