About Us
The Parks and Green Spaces Service manages more than 700 allotment plots across the borough. We are committed to reducing waiting times for residents and working closely with committee members and site leads to enhance the overall experience for plot holders.
About the job
We are looking to appoint two Sessional Allotments Assistants to join our Parks and Green Spaces Service. You will be supporting the allotment team in hosting viewings, undertaking inspections, attending engagement and site clear up days.
This is a flexible and physically active role, requiring outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
The post will mainly work at weekends with some weekday working in peak periods
About you
We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who, enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions, have a passion for growing and gardening, are proactive and willing to get involved, can work independently as well as part of a team and have strong communication skills to engage effectively with plot holders and committee members
