Hours of work: 36 hours per week (Hybrid working, based at Newham Dockside)

We are pleased to invite applications for the post of Education Monitoring Officer in Newham Virtual School Team on a fixed term for 12 months.
About the Job
The Post
Newham Virtual School champions and supports children who enter care in Newham. This post will involve working with schools, working with social care, providing information, advice and guidance to all parties and supporting the completion of a termly Personal Education Plan for all children allocated on a given caseload.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the children and young people that you are working with are properly supported in education. This post requires flexibility, tremendous drive and an ambition to continuously assess and find creative ways to support children, young people and their parent/carers that ensures their engagement.

Whilst we value experience, more importantly, we need you to be committed to providing an outstanding service to all our children and young people in care. You will need to demonstrate flexibility, enthusiasm, empathy, initiative, tenacity and resilience for what is likely to be a very demanding but hugely rewarding post.
