What the role will involve?

 You will be integral in making a positive impact to the city by leading in the safe construction of Carriageways, Footways, Flood elevation works, Drainage work and duct installation; interpreting design detailed drawings in relations to these construction works. Working closely with designers to achieve successful outcomes on all works.
 
You will be supporting and advising piers, colleagues, front line staff and apprentices whilst complying to Newcastle City Councils policies and procedures.
 
Who are we looking for?
We are looking to appoint a self-motivated and driven Highway Scheme Manager to support the delivery of a wide range of projects in Highways Capital programme, Highway Construction and Maintenance.

You will be expected to provide a Management role across Highways, ensuring services are provided professionally, to programme and within budget.

You will have the ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, and you will play a Lead role in ensuring productivity targets are met.

It is essential that you have a working knowledge of health & safety legislation, and excellent planning and communication skills.
