Westerhope Primary School is seeking to appoint a Support Assistant Level 3 who is passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) thrive academically, socially and emotionally. We are looking for someone who is committed to inclusion, understands that every child is unique, and wants to play a key role in ensuring all pupils can access a broad and ambitious curriculum.
Working as part of our nurturing and dedicated team, the successful candidate will support a range of pupils with additional needs across the school through targeted interventions, small group work and in-class support, helping children to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

You will be based at Westerhope Primary School. At the request of the ONE Trust, you may be required to conduct your duties elsewhere to facilitate learning or social activities off the school premises. The Trust reserves the right to change your area of work, temporarily or otherwise, as may be required, subject to reasonable notice and prior consultation with you.

- Is skilled at building positive relationships with children, staff, parents and external professionals.
- Can work collaboratively with teachers and the SEND team to implement support strategies and provision plans.
- Has high expectations for all pupils and is committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
- Is flexible, adaptable and able to respond effectively to the varying needs of pupils across the school.
- Will inspire, nurture and champion our most vulnerable learners.
