Due to the promotion of the previous postholder, the Governors of Archbishop Runcie Church of England VA First School wish to appoint a part time After School Club Assistant, to start as soon as possible to further extend our current wraparound offer.
Who are we?
We are a welcoming Church of England school with happy, well behaved and highly motivated children and a dynamic, passionate and hardworking staff team. We have high expectations of ourselves and the children. Parents are highly supportive of the school.
Who do we need?
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our expanding wraparound provision to further advance our school offer. The post will include serving children an after-school snack and engaging children in a range of activities during their time in the club. It will be an opportunity to play a full part in the continued development of our vision for all our children to become confident, secure, caring individuals who flourish in the love of God.
This post is suitable for an experienced childcare or supervisory assistant and/or someone with a good level of qualification. We are looking for a caring and meticulous team member who will go the extra mile for the benefit of the school community.
The successful candidate will set high standards for themselves, the school and our children. S/he will have a positive outlook and will be excited at the prospect of working as part of a small team where everyone “mucks in”.

What does it involve?
Term time (38 weeks): After School Club runs from 3:15pm until 5:30pm. The post includes 15 minutes setting up / tidying up at the end of each session. There is 1 training day included.
Additional hours: The postholder will be expected to be flexible and work additional (paid) hours, during term time, to meet the needs of the school if required.
