The Board of Trustees of SMART Multi Academy Trust are seeking to appoint either an experienced SENDCo or a passionate and committed teacher who is willing to develop into a SENDCo role at North Fawdon Primary School.

North Fawdon is a diverse and inclusive school in Newcastle, proud of its strong community and nurturing ethos. Following our November 2025 Ofsted inspection, the school was judged good in all areas.

“North Fawdon Primary School is a highly inclusive, welcoming school.  It is in the heart of the local community and pupils feel safe, valued and happy.  The school identifies the needs of pupils with SEND swiftly and accurately.  Staff make appropriate adaptations to the delivery of the curriculum.  This meets SEND needs.  Pupils with SEND learn successfully alongside their peers.”
