Newcastle City Council is seeking to recruit a dynamic and motivated Contract Monitoring Officer to join our Network Management and Construction division.
This role will play a key part in monitoring a range of contracts, ensuring their effective management and delivery whilst maintaining compliance with contractual, regulatory, and statutory requirements across the Transport Service. The post has a particular focus on traffic signals and highways-related contracts.
As a Contract Monitoring Officer, you will work collaboratively with seven local authorities, including Newcastle City Council, to oversee the performance and delivery of traffic signals and highways contracts. You will be responsible for coordinating with stakeholders, monitoring contractor performance, reporting on progress, and managing contracts for the provision of supplies, materials, and services.
