Everyone produces waste. We want a clean, green city where we waste less and recycle more. Our focus is to minimise waste produced, maximise the quantity and quality of recycling we collect, reduce the city’s impact on climate change and deliver on the commitments made in our waste strategy.
To help achieve this, we have recently procured new residual waste contracts for the city and are implementing the requirements set out by Government in the Environment Act 2021. We require a highly motivated individual who can help manage these new multi-million-pound contracts to ensure best value is achieved for Newcastle residents.
You will have significant experience in managing and monitoring contracts, writing contract specifications and evaluating tenders. You will also have experience of representing your organisation at a regional and national level.
