About us:
Facility Services and Civic Management work across the city providing catering, caretaking, school meals and welfare catering services.
We have a large team of cleaners, cleaner supervisors, facility supervisors (caretakers), catering assistants, assistant chefs and chefs working various hours and shifts in schools and public buildings.

What we are looking for:
Are you a passionate chef/cook who enjoys making a difference through great food? We are seeking a reliable, flexible, and motivated individual to join our established Welfare Catering team.

We are looking for a dedicated Chef with excellent leadership skills who is passionate about cooking and committed to the people they cook for. Working 37 hours per week across three sites, you will play a key role in providing nutritious, high-quality meals for elderly individuals, many of whom have specialist dietary and nutritional requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, food safety, customer care, and teamwork. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure an efficient and welcoming catering service while delivering meals that meet the diverse needs of our customers.
 
We are looking for someone who:
  • Has a Level 2 in Food Processing and Cooking (or equivalent)
  • Positive and motivated nature.
  • Has experience of supervision or leadership of a team.
  • Can manage, nurture and motivate others.
  • Can deliver high standards of meal production and service.
  • Can demonstrate good relationships with stakeholders.
  • Is self-motivated and able to work to fixed deadlines
  • Excellent time management.
  • Can demonstrate high standards of customer service.
  • Can develop and introduce new ideas for menus and foodservice.
  • Has strong interpersonal skills and is positive, innovative and solution focused.
  • Has experience of working in a catering environment.
  • A sociable and caring personality, with the ability to build positive relationships with the people we are catering for.
