Are you passionate about improving outcomes for young people?

We're seeking an enthusiastic and proactive colleague to join the Careers and Guidance Team, focused on strengthening support for young people who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) or at risk of becoming NEET.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and coordinating the local offer for young people across Newcastle. Working with education providers, training organisations, community groups, employers and support services, you will help strengthen partnership working, improve referral pathways and ensure young people can access the right support at the right time.

You will:
• Build and maintain effective relationships with partner organisations across the city.
• Coordinate and promote local education, employment, training and support opportunities.
• Strengthen referral processes between services to improve access to support for young people.
• Support targeted interventions for young people facing barriers to participation.
• Act as a key link between the Careers and Guidance Team and local partners.
• Contribute to the development of innovative approaches that improve participation and progression outcomes.

Please note, all fixed term posts are available for secondment, for a secondment you must gain your managers approval prior to applying.
