Soulbury Educational Psychologist A Scale, Points 3 – 8, with up to an additional 3 SPA points for those eligible to apply.
Newcastle Educational Psychology Service is seeking to appoint a FTE permanent Educational Psychologist, to start as soon as possible. This post represent an exciting development for our team, funded through the Experts At Hand initiative enabling us to develop and extend all aspects of our work.
The successful candidate will join a positively regarded team, currently consisting of the Service Manager and Deputy Manager, 16.7 FTE EPs (including two Specialist Senior EPs), three doctoral trainee EPs. The service is highly valued by schools and settings and all Educational Psychologists are already involved in a range of preventative and early intervention work as well as undertaking statutory duties.
he Local Authority is committed to the delivery of core (non – statutory / non – traded) work focusing on a range of cross LA and school priorities, which has led to the development of new and innovative ways of working. All Educational Psychologists in the team have the opportunity to develop specialisms and areas of interest.
The EPS is well positioned within the Local Authority and is engaged in strategic level work across the Education Division and the wider Children and Families directorate. There are very close working relationships with other SEN services and excellent links with the Newcastle University doctoral training course.
Applications are welcome both from fully qualified colleagues and doctoral trainee EPs. Flexible working arrangements are available including term time only working.
