Our Corporate Procurement & Payments Service plays a central role in managing how the Council spends its resources supporting over £400m of third-party spend each year and maintaining the systems that underpin this activity.
The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Systems Officer to join our Procurement Systems Team.
This is a key role supporting the effective operation, development and continuous improvement of the Council’s procurement systems, including our Purchase Order Processing (POP) system and associated tools.

The Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Systems Officer to join our Procurement Systems Team.
This is a key role supporting the effective operation, development and continuous improvement of the Council’s procurement systems, including our Purchase Order Processing (POP) system and associated tools.
You will:
- Provide day-to-day system support to users across the Council
- Help maintain and improve procurement systems and processes
- Support system testing, upgrades and implementation of new functionality
- Ensure data quality, supplier records and purchase order processes are accurate and compliant
- Play a role in delivering efficient, compliant and auditable procurement activity across the organisation
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong ICT and systems skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new platforms
- Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills
- Has strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Can work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Ideally has some knowledge or interest in procurement, finance, or public sector processes
- Experience working with finance or procurement systems would be an advantage, but not essential we will support the right candidate to develop their knowledge.
