The Governors of Archbishop Runcie Church of England VA First School wish to appoint a Supervisory Assistant Level 1.
 
We are a welcoming Church of England school with happy, well behaved and highly motivated children and a dynamic, passionate and hardworking staff team. We have high expectations of ourselves and the children. Parents are highly supportive of the school.
 
We are looking to appoint a Supervisory Assistant to support our children in the lunch hall; washing hands, developing table manners, using cutlery, trying new foods and maintaining a clean and calm dining environment. The role will also include supervision of children at playtime, initiating games and activities.

We are looking for meticulous team member who will go the extra mile for the benefit of the school community. It will be an opportunity to play a full part in the continued development of our vision for all our children to become confident, secure, caring individuals who flourish in the love of God.

This post is suitable for an experienced childcare or supervisory assistant and/or someone with a good level of qualification or someone experienced in working with children. The postholder will be expected to be flexible and work additional hours to meet the needs of the school where required. There is one training day included.

The successful candidate will model high standards for themselves, the school and others. They will have a positive outlook and will be excited at the prospect of being part of our team.

The successful candidate will:
  • have experience of supervising and engaging children in purposeful play

  • have suitable food hygiene qualifications and experience of dealing with food allergies and intolerances

We are aiming to appoint the right candidate to start in post as soon as possible.
 
Annual leave can only be taken during school closure periods.
