SMART are seeking to recruit a High-Level Teaching Assistant to join the staff team at Mountfield Primary School
 
At Mountfield Primary School, we are committed to providing the highest quality support for teaching and learning for our pupils. Candidates must be innovative, creative, skilled in the use of positive behaviour strategies and have experience of working with children across the Primary age range as well as being committed to working alongside a supportive and dynamic team to continue to raise standards and achievement.
 
The role will consist of the following:
  • Supporting teaching and learning in Year 6 during morning sessions
  • Providing whole-class cover and supporting SLT release time and staff absence across the primary age range in the afternoons
  • Delivering small group and intervention support in core subjects
  • Assisting with pupil assessment and progress monitoring
  • Promoting high expectations of behaviour, modelling positive attitudes and consistently applying school behaviour policies
  • Creating a calm, supportive and purposeful learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with staff to meet the needs of all learners
  • Supporting pupils’ wellbeing, development and safeguarding
  • To encourage pupils to become independent learners, to provide support for their welfare, and to support the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of school life 

The successful candidate will be subject to an online search in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (2025) legislation.
 
Your principal place of work will be Mountfield Primary School but you may be required to work at other Trust sites within Smart Multi Academy Trust within reason.
