Northern Leaders Trust was established in 2014 and comprises of two academies supported by our Central Services Team. Kenton School, our largest academy has around 1800 students including a successful sixth form provision. With around 550 students, Studio West school focusses on delivering a studio school type approach.
We are seeking a Finance Officer to cover maternity leave within our busy team with demonstratable experience in accounting functions and excellent working knowledge of accounting systems. Candidates must have or be studying towards AAT or equivalent or have comprehensive experience.
The Finance Officer is responsible for supporting the finance function with the timely processing of purchase orders, supplier invoices, receipting of the bank statements and raising customer invoices. Assisting the Head of Finance in preparing the monthly management accounts which include accruals, prepayments, and payroll journal. The post-holder will also assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations and produce monthly reports, for example budget reports.
Candidates must possess strong IT skills including Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables, and Microsoft Outlook. Candidates must have meticulous attention to detail, budget management skills, excellent analytical and interpretive ability.
