About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to support the delivery and continuous improvement of our Facilities Management Catering and Cleaning services.

You will play a key role in supporting business development activity, coordinating service improvement projects, and helping the service deliver value for money, quality outcomes and sustainable growth. This is a varied role that combines project support, systems development, operational coordination and staff support, working closely with operational managers, suppliers, procurement and corporate teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, improving systems, analysing information and working in a busy operational environment that delivers essential services to residents and staff across the city.


Key Responsibilities:

As part of the Facilities Management – Catering and Cleaning team, you will:
  • Manage staffing lists
  • Support recruitment and shortlisting processes
  • Support the back-office systems that assist with the school meal service
  • Help introduce digital improvements
  • Process invoices

About You:
You will be:
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines.
  • Confident working with data, systems and management information to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Comfortable dealing with a wide range of enquiries and stakeholders in person, by phone and digitally.
  • Experienced in administrative, business support or project support roles, ideally within a facilities, catering, cleaning or operational service environment.
  • Knowledgeable about (or willing to learn) recruitment processes, pre-employment checks, health and safety and quality compliance.
