English Martyrs’ Catholic Primary is a highly respected two-form entry Catholic school with a 12 place Additional Resource Provision for pupils with Communication & Interaction Needs, providing a good education for all our pupils.

We a very diverse catholic community where the messages of the Gospel are at the heart of everything we do. We strive to wrap children in an atmosphere of care, love, and fun. It is a happy place, where the needs of the 'whole child' are at the heart of all we do and as a result our pupils thrive.

The opportunity has arisen to appoint three enthusiastic, committed, and caring Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated staff team.

We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate the skills, experience and personal qualities required to support high-quality teaching and learning, and who are committed to nurturing our pupils to enable them to flourish.

As a key member of our staff team, you will need to have an interest in the care, learning and development of our pupils whilst working in an environment in which children’s individual needs are met. You should be willing to make a full contribution to the life of the school and show commitment to uphold and support the Catholic ethos, mission and values of our school.

You’ll be willing to work across school, assisting with planning, preparation and delivery of lesson provision, both on a whole-class and individual basis, preparing resources to support learning activities as well as ensuring pupils are supported pastorally. You’ll contribute to evaluating pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher to ensure all pupils’ learning needs are being met.

All applicants are encouraged to visit the school; appointments can be made by contacting Mrs Kenny, School Business Manager.
