  • Experience of working with the SENDCO and external agencies and contributing to the assessment and documentation for pupils with SEND 
Initially, the role will be to work in KS1 and the focus will be to work with a group of SEND children many of whom have EHCPs. You will work alongside experienced LSAs, teachers and our SENDCO.
It would be advantageous to have experience of teaching Forest School or of teaching outdoor learning to young children. 

This post is suitable for experienced HLTAs. The postholder will be expected to be flexible and work additional hours to meet the needs of the school where required.

Grange First School is strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and a range of other recruitment checks.
 
As this post involves working with children, vulnerable adults or dealing with sensitive information, written references will be taken up and made available to interviewers before the final selection stage; even if you indicate otherwise.

This may help identify any incidents or issues that have happened, and are publicly available online, which we may want to explore with the applicant at interview.
