Social Worker in the Rough Sleeping Team - Fixed term until end of March 2029.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and registered social worker to work as part of a multidisciplinary team which is designed to provide integrated responses to people who are rough sleeping or are entrenched in the homelessness system.
The social worker will work with health and housing colleagues and the role will include assessment of needs for care and support, mental capacity issues, and responding to, and coordinating safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014.
Social work supervision and support will be provided by social workers and the team managers in the drug and alcohol and mental health social work teams.
We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is working in regulated activity. If you are successful we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information and we will check the barred list(s). It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.
