We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic ICT Solutions Trainer to join our Digital Solutions team, with a dedicated focus on supporting Housing Services within the Council.
This role is funded by Housing Services and will be primarily aligned to that service area. As such, experience of working in or alongside housing services, housing management systems, or frontline local authority services would be highly beneficial. However, we welcome applications from candidates with strong ICT training experience from other sectors who are keen to develop their knowledge of housing services and systems.
About the role
As an ICT Solutions Trainer, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality training for end-users on a range of ICT solutions. You will work closely with Housing colleagues, Digital teams, and suppliers to ensure staff are confident and capable in using systems effectively to support service delivery.
You will create and maintain a range of training materials, including user guides, manuals, and e-learning content, ensuring these remain up to date as systems and processes evolve. Training will be delivered both in person and remotely, to individuals and groups with varying levels of digital confidence.
A key part of the role is assessing the effectiveness of training through feedback, surveys, and performance insights, and using this to continuously improve the training offer.
Key responsibilities
· Design, deliver, and evaluate training programmes within agreed timescales and budgets.
· Develop and maintain instructional materials, including manuals, guides, and e-learning resources.
· Deliver engaging training sessions in person and remotely, to individuals and groups.
· Work closely with Housing Services to understand service priorities and tailor training accordingly.
· Assess training effectiveness through feedback, surveys, and performance metrics, adapting approaches as required.
· Provide advice and guidance on relevant ICT solutions in both training and workplace environments.
· Contribute to projects, service improvements, and the development of business procedures and systems.
· Keep up to date with developments in ICT systems, digital learning tools, and training best practice.
About you
You will have experience of designing and delivering ICT training and be confident working with a wide range of users. You will be comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues across Digital, Housing, and other council services.
You will have excellent communication skills, a high level of ICT literacy, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping others learn and develop.
Experience of working with housing systems, housing services, or local authority frontline services is desirable but not essential. We are keen to hear from candidates who can bring strong training skills and are motivated to build expertise in the housing domain.
Additional information
If you are successful we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have any unspent criminal convictions.
If you are enthusiastic and feel you have the skills, knowledge, and experience to join our team, we would love to hear from you.
