We are a highly performing finance team that provides excellent support to managers across the organisation. As part of the Financial Strategy team you will have an opportunity to play a key role in meeting the challenge of maintaining the council’s financial health and sustainability in an increasingly challenging financial environment.

Working closely with senior managers across the organisation, you will develop and support opportunities to transform the delivery of financial services across the council. The postholder will need to develop and maintain effective working relationships to support co-operative ways of working, effective decision making and management of financial resources.

The successful candidate will play a key role in tracking and evaluating benefits realised through our ambitious and transformational change programme: Change & Innovation Newcastle.

We are looking for candidates who can a demonstrate a track record of working collaboratively with senior leaders, finance team members, and services across the organisation to support our change and transformation programme.
