About Adult Social Care and Prevention
Our Directorate is built around four pillars that work collaboratively to deliver high quality, meaningful and effective support across the city. These roles lead on the commissioning and procurement of externally commissioned services, and sit within our Quality, Strategy and Innovation pillar, where we focus on:
  • designing innovative commissioning approaches
  • driving continuous improvement
  • supporting market stability and sufficiency
  • embracing the flexibility of the Procurement Act 2023
  • embedding strengths-based, person-centred practice
You’ll help shape value-driven services that reflect the strengths, needs and aspirations of our communities.

About the Commissioning and Procurement Team

Confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including providers, partners, colleagues and people who draw on services, you’ll adapt your communication style to suit different audiences and contexts.

Experience supporting or delivering procurement activity would be an advantage, alongside an appreciation of how effective contract management builds relationships, maximises value and improves outcomes for residents.

Above all, you’ll be compassionate, reflective and collaborative, with a genuine commitment to shaping services that make a meaningful difference.
