We are looking for an inspirational practitioner who would like work in our highly effective team from September 2026, who are confident in teaching across the primary phase.

Newburn Manor Primary is a small, one form entry school in the outer west of the Newcastle. We have been at the heart of the local community since 1890, making us the oldest Primary School in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne. We are currently graded as good in all areas by Ofsted and consistently achieve results above the national average by the end of Key stage 2.

We are seeking applications from innovative and forward thinking teachers, who are flexible, with a resilient attitude to challenge and develop each individual.  You will, have the interpersonal skills to model empathy, respect, trust, courage and gratitude to further continue the school’s high standards and ethos.

We would particularly welcome applications from teachers with an interest in science and/or Art.

As part of the Newburn Manor Primary team, you will be part of ONE (OWL North East) Trust, alongside seven other primary schools in the Outer West of Newcastle upon Tyne. This Trust is a collaborative and forward-thinking group of schools, which works to continue to improve the lives and educational outcomes of children across the Outer West.

The post will be in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 (depending on the experience of the successful candidate) and will be fixed term for one year initially with the possibility of extension.

Candidates should want to make a significant contribution to the school's ongoing success by bringing new ideas, initiative and a commitment to raising standards.

Candidates should want our children to feel a strong self of belonging and provide high quality teaching that supports their achievement across the curriculums and beyond.

You will be employed by ONE Academy Trust to work at Newburn Manor Primary School and any other location which may reasonably be required by the Board of Trustees for the proper performance and exercise of your duties. This is subject to reasonable notice and prior consultation with you.
