Salary: £32,597 - £35,412 per annum (pro rata), plus shift, evening and weekend enhancements

We are recruiting for several Residential Child Care Officer posts across our existing, well-established residential teams, with clear opportunities for progression as you develop your skills and experience. If you’re passionate about helping young people achieve their potential, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for committed, resilient individuals to join our teams supporting young people with emotional or learning difficulties. You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, caring, and stable home environment where young people can thrive.

About the Role
• As a Residential Child Care Officer, you will work directly with young people living in our residential homes, contributing to high-quality, individualised care and support.• Contribute to development programmes and care plans.
• Support the delivery of day-to-day care, following established policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements.
• Promote dignity, respect, choice, and independence at all times.
• Work closely with families, carers, colleagues, and external professionals to help each young people’s progress.
• Plan and support admissions, discharges, and transitions to independent living or other placements.
• Maintain clear, accurate records and attend reviews, case conferences, and court where required.
• Help establish daily routines, encourage positive behaviour, and ensure young people’s safety and wellbeing.
• Handle petty cash in line with financial procedures.
• Contribute to a healthy, safe, and inclusive team environment.
