The role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of the Deaf (TOD) to work within an enthusiastic and dynamic team. You will be joining the central, peripatetic, Sensory Teachers Team working with children and young people from birth to 25 years’ old, in a variety of settings.
Location
The Sensory Teachers Team (STT) is based in Kaleidoscope; a multi-disciplinary centre providing a comprehensive, integrated specialist service for children and young people with educational, health and social needs. The TOD role is peripatetic and involves travelling around Lewisham to visit children/young people in their homes and settings. Some administrative elements of the role can be completed from home, so we have a hybrid- working model.
Qualities
You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic person with good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You will be committed to the development of the service and in working collaboratively with parents and other professionals.
Qualifications and requirements:
It is essential that you have Qualified Teacher Status and the Mandatory Qualification for Teachers of Deaf Children (TODs). Experience of peripatetic work is desirable. This post is subject to a full, Enhanced DBS check.

Salary
£57,632 - £62,496 (Inner London U1 - U3 + TLR2 Minimum + SEN Maximum)
