This role sits at the heart of how housing repairs are procured and delivered.

You will lead on developing clear, robust specifications and assembling compliant ITT documentation that sets services up for success.

Working closely with operational teams and Corporate Procurement, you’ll translate service need into effective tender packs.

What’s the role?

This role is responsible for shaping how housing repairs and maintenance services are procured. You will lead on developing clear service specifications, coordinating the preparation of compliant ITT documentation and supporting tender processes from start to finish. Working closely with housing operational teams and Corporate Procurement, you will ensure service requirements are accurately translated into robust procurement packs. The role plays a key part in securing value for money, legal compliance and well‑performing contracts that support the delivery of safe, high‑quality homes.

What we’re looking for

Someone who can translate operational housing service needs into clear, well‑structured specifications that are easy to tender and deliver.

A confident procurement professional who is comfortable coordinating complex ITT documentation, pulling together technical, legal and commercial inputs into a single, coherent pack.

An individual who works well in partnership, able to dovetail effectively with Corporate Procurement while maintaining a strong understanding of housing repairs services.

Highly organised and detail‑focused, with the ability to manage multiple procurements at different stages without losing quality or compliance.

Pragmatic and solutions‑focused, able to balance procurement rules with service realities to get the right outcomes for residents and the organisation.

A strong communicator who can work collaboratively with operational managers, legal, finance and suppliers, ensuring expectations are clear from the outset.

Location

The job is primarily based in Laurence House, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

  • Weekend working is required for this job
  • The job is subject to a Standard DBS check

Salary

£60,633 - £62,742 per annum (PO7)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
