Introduction

Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Do you have experience of working in a busy office environment and meeting demanding targets? Do you have a flair for providing quality outcomes for residents?

What’s the role?

You will be responding to enquiries from home owners, private landlords, tenants, and vulnerable client groups relating to council services that improve the private sector stock in the borough. You will be providing customer advice and assistance on matters relating to, enforcement and licensing. Providing effective administrative services which support the smooth and efficient running of the Licensing and Enforcement Team in addition to maintaining databases.

What we’re looking for…

You will have an eye for accuracy with a passion for customer care and data quality. You will be keen to get involved in development opportunities as well as having great people skills and experience of supporting and working alongside a diverse range of people. You will be confident to provide high quality, confidential and trustworthy customer focused services to home owners, landlords, tenants and lettings agencies. You will follow procedures to ensure the effective administration of fees, charges and payments for applications for HMO licences and for Civil Penalties. You will be a flexible team worker with a solution focused mindset that goes the extra mile.

Location

The job is primarily based in Laurence house, 1 Catford Rd, London SE6 4RU, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

  • ICT skills
  • A formal housing qualification would be desirable however experience will also be taken into account

Salary

£34,863 - £35,892 per annum (SC5)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
