About the Team

iCAS is a large team of Social Workers, Social Care Trusted Assessors and Occupational Therapists. We are a fast-paced team providing a comprehensive, holistic social care service to Lambeth residents.

We are at the forefront of Adult Social Care’s service to Lambeth delivering a comprehensive assessment service to vulnerable adults.

About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assessor to work in iCAS. The role is to complete assessments under the Care Act 2014., as an unqualified social worker, and after further training undertake work as a Social Care Trusted Assessor.

We screen all new referrals that come into Lambeth Adult Social Care, provide information and advice and consider eligibility for formal services under the Care Act 2014.

We are looking for colleagues who will look first at what people can do rather than what they can't do and have conversations that identify what is important to the person, 'what matters' rather than 'what's the matter'. We believe that by exploring people's goals and aspirations, and the strengths our clients have themselves or have around them, we can help people to stay independent for longer and remain connected to their communities.
