About the Role and our Ideal Candidate About the roleEnglish Functional Skills courses typically run throughout the academic year (September to February and February to July, and September to July). Our standard Level 1 and Level 2 courses have 3 hours of contact time per week. We need a tutor to deliver one of these courses fortnightly as you will be co-teaching with another teacher.We also need someone to teach our Building Foundations course for 2 hours a week. This includes teaching literacy skills and SPAG.About youThe successful candidate will:- Hold a relevant teaching qualification, at least Level 3 - ideally Level 5.- Have experience in teaching English Functional Skills to adult learners living in an English speaking country.- Be familiar with the FS curriculum, and be able to deliver a programme of learning which gives all learners the best possible chance of passing their exams.
